Piker20 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2014 Thanks not sure how well the foam will hold up. Its open cell as opposed to the normal hard stuff I use but is very tear resistant and doesnt seem to stretch too much either.
Crackaig 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2014 In Flytiers Masterclass Oliver has a Willow Fly imitation. Its a useful fly at the right time, but I've never been happy with the rafene wings. I don't often have the time or inclination to play about like this, today I did. The result is the Wally Wing Willow Fly. this is on a size 16. Cheers, C. Piker20 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2014 shame to wreck it on a 6inch troot. You'll have to save that for a trophy water.

Crackaig 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2014 I'm hoping the wings will out last the rafene ones. Never managed more than on fish on those, some haven't lasted that long. Cheers, C.

Li'lDave 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2014 Some flashy #1 synthetic clousers and sparse #2 candies for a trip in June. The clousers are tied in a fairly traditional fashion using slinky fibre

notenuftoys 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2014 eide, you do fantastic work. How do you photograph your flies? Do you have a small booth? Do you use a macro lens?
