A few of my recent ties

Recommended Posts

Those are some beautiful looking flies Bill, seems to me you've got this whole tying stuff on hooks down to an art. Some may never leave the boat…ph34r.png Why no, I didn't see them….Why do you ask?

Call me tomorrow or today depending when you read this (or pm your # and I'll call), I can't find your number on my phone. I took a rod out this weekend and did some casting in the back yard. I'll have to sit a lot more often to rest, but other than that I'm good to go.

Those are some great looking flies ... I especially like the crab. I've got a couple of guys wanting me to try casting crab flies at pilings to catch Sheepshead.

If only I fished salt water.

Nice ties.....You can send me one of those deer hair sliders like in the 3rd pic. ......Neat crab too.

How do you get that chenille you use for the crab legs to 'behave' the way you want it?

Take the chenille and bend it around the bodkin. Use the flame from a lighter to "touch" the chenille. Allow it to cool to that shape. That's it. I got the idea from Dron Lee.
