Also, saw an earlier post that TWPD posted the Trout Stocking Schedule. Like in past years, made a few mods to sort by date and location and posted on our site... Spreadsheet Time Again... Caught a beautiful little rainbow, very vibrant colors, missed a couple using one of my Tenkara Rods. Hope to fish a little more tomorrow and Wed. fshng84 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2018 Made it to Medicine Park in OK Saturday. Struck out on trout but not because they were not there. Others were catching them on a steady basis. Lot's of fun still and did stop at Meers Restaurant and Store for the famous Meers Burger and Chicken Fried Steak! Today, temps dropped below freezing and stayed indoors. Did try another livestream; think this one went better than others.... went with the topic, "Three Places to Fish for Rainbow Trout in Oklahoma." Do check it out! Do checkout the information when planning a trip to the Blue River. Information focuses mainly on fly fishing tips but does provide information that may be of interest to non-fly fishermen. Also, the area fished is the low water crossing known as Hughes Crossing; however, the approach detailed in the video is applicable to other areas of the Blue River. Do check it out! fshng84 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2018 Able to make the run to our local lake for stocked Rainbow Trout Friday afternoon. Bite was slow on fishing flies at first. Did see others doing well with bait and Power Worms. Bite picked up later as the trout started feeding on something hatching as well as bread and other floating baits. Olive Near Deere did well. No strike indicator needed; movement was key as well as striking as soon as the line showed any sign of a twitch or pull from a trout striking! Blog Post....
