I had a go at tying these earlier in the week. A great variation on the Griffiths Gnat with a little more durability. Some may think it a waste of precious snowshoe rabbit but I think it's a great scruffy little fly.

Friday night tying turned up this smile.png

I love this fly but it is pretty busy to make it all fit. What size and style hook did you use and do you think it's acceptance would be as a bug or a streamer or just something showing a lot of wiggly life?

Now that I look closer it see it a salmon fly hook. Still wonder about the size. I need to tie some of those. Love soft hackle and that sure puts it on display.

Dude! That is So cool I've been fishing griffiths gnats a lot recently. Could you do a quick SBS? I'm just assuming it's a dubbing loop??

Thanks,

Miles
