JSzymczyk 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2015 This is a Nun fly I tied up for a joke for a fellow on another forum Don't make a "habit" out of tying those. that was... horrible. How many fish have you caught on it? Nun? that was... WORSE.
FlaFly 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2015 Joel, I'm offended (or is it off-ended?)... don't you know that puns and limericks are the best form of humor. All other forms are based on man's foibles like slipping on a banana peel, three stooges stuff. Puns indicate intellect. I'm not sure what limericks indicate, but they're cool. There was an old guy from Car'lina (have to leave the middle syllable out to retain scansion) Who could think of no other thing fina Than to spend all his time Conversing on-lime (sorry about that) With a bunch of fly-fishy old-timas. FlaFly 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2015 By the way Beadyhead, I'd certainly advise you to either fish that fly, or send it to me. I can see no reason why it would fail. Although sending it to me might contribute to its failure, but you never know.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2015 Flafly was an old angler, online, you see Who thought himself quite humorous-ly What he might not've realized Was that all the other guys Were laughing not with, but at he Since I seemed to be able to come up with limericks ... that proves that limericks don't take much intelligence. FlaFly 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2015 Now that's clever crazy4. My brother and I used to do that.... we could go on 4ever each making a play on the other's last sentence. But wasn't she the fly-fishing nun? wonder what kind of flies she flew. Penguins, probably.
