Fly Tying

August flies from the vice

Recommended Posts

Been tying these fuggler minnows (my own creation) for the Euro swap, the deer hair head makes for a great wiggling/ swimming motion in the water.

Flytire. I did your silver nymph as posted and used gold on one silver on another. Furnace hackle on gold looked far better to my eye brown on silver. Both glitter in sun great which I think will grab the goal of one on hook one in hand. Thanks for the pic

A Russian dashboard pattern; you could whip out a bunch of these while sitting in your Lada waiting for the hatch to start. Added the CH underwing for a bit of sparkle.

hook - Dai Riki 320 #14

thread/body - UTC 140 tan

shuck - deer hair butts

underwing - Congo Hair white

wing/head - deer hair

Regards,

Scott

Ain't it cute! That'll bring in the big 'Gills and bass, Caloosa !!!

Thanks Mike. I threw it some this morning at daybreak in a canal down the street. It was drizzling rain, and the little diver certainly dives, and has a different action than my other deer hair poppers.

Landed a dozen little bass, several mayans, some copper heads, and a red ear. Good fun on the cute 3wt.
