Kimo 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2018 Ahhhhhh! Thank you Kimo. Seeing one of your scuds is like viewing serene countryside. Soothing, with an underlying current of expectation. You just KNOW something's going to happen, soon. On a countryside view, a deer runs out, or a hawk swoops down. With your scuds, a huge fish is going to attack !!! Thanks Mike! eide 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2018 That Green Highlander is such a beautiful pattern! Nice work! x 2 Such beautiful work as always Eide! IMO, your salmon patterns show such perfectionism and certainly make me envious. Thanks for sharing. Thank you both
Bimini15 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2018 First attempt at a CDC spinner, on a size 12 because that's what I have. Not unhappy with the effort, but is size 12 too big for this type of fly?

Philly 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2018 First attempt at a CDC spinner, on a size 12 because that's what I have. Not unhappy with the effort, but is size 12 too big for this type of fly? 891E9403-AE3B-448B-B142-D6DC2B7D8A9C.jpeg Looks good. Do see why it wouldn't work. Size 12 fits any number of mayflies. I would look for a light wire hook but that's just my preference. Just keep in mind that any fly using CDC will eventually sink even one with a CDC body and wing. A couple of false casts will usually restore it.
