mikechell 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2019 Welcome to the site, Yooper. First thing I can offer is ... take a little time to browse through some threads. I believe most of your questions have been asked/answered before. Second thing I can offer is: www.flytyersdungeon.com . You'll find vast quantities of (mostly) synthetic materials for tying streamers and other flies. There are tutorials and the guy who runs/owns it is a great source of knowledge on his materials. I target fish near the surface, preferably fish I can see.

fshng2 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2019 Welcome aboard. Phil Rowley's Balanced Minnow is a perfect design for lake fishing with an indicator (bobber for fly fishing). Note: Larger balanced leeches are also considered minnows. Fly Tiers Dungeon sells similar (inexpensive) dubbing and is called leech dubbing. http://www.flytyersdungeon.com/Materials/Chart_Leech_Dubbing.htm https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=Balanced+Minnow+Phil+Rowley&&view=detail&mid=8B864961DE995EE715EB8B864961DE995EE715EB&&FORM=VRDGAR
