rockworm 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2011 Tot I like the look of your fly! You have replaced red fox belly hair with a stripped quill. Brilliant! But I really think you should have retained the mixed cock hackle: brown and grizzly. IMO that's what makes this a fish killer. I tied this fly the way that I was taught to tie it both at Fly Tying Lessons and from Davie McPhails videos, however I agree it is not to the original dressing.
