  1. Got steelhead on the brain as well, don't know how often I'll be swinging for em, but they sure do look purrrdy..
  2. I have an olive dyed grizzly whitings bugger pack that can go down to a 22, it helps to shop in person to see products first hand.. Here's one tied with said pack on a sz. 12 200r
  3. Vinyl rib soft hackle on a sz. 14. Been loving the vinyl rib lately makes quick clean bodies -Miles
  4. Reminds me of a stripper I used to date.. Well done
  5. If your looking for rivers I would make your way up north a little further towards redding, tons of awesome trout water up there.. If you have to stay in that area, baressa is an option but it's a larger lake with a lot of bait fishing pressure, not ideal for fly rods. there is a creek that holds trout that feeds out of that lake called putah creek, but it too is heavily fished, and I haven't had much luck there myself. I've heard amadors a good lake, haven't been.. Eagle lakes is a well known spot for big rainbows. I live a little south east in the Lake Tahoe area which is an awesome spot to fish for trout year round. If you have any questions feel free to message me
  6. That's a definite trout killer, thanks for sharing Luca! -Miles
  7. Remembered more.. Ballast points beers, specifically there sculpin IPA and big eye IPA anchorage brewing's anadromous sour black Belgium brewed with wild salmonberries...ooooh ya and my absolute favorite is by Russian River brewing it's called Pliny the elder, an extremely well touted ale in California
  8. Mad river's steelhead extra pale ale and double steelhead double IPA, eel river brewery.. That American beauty isn't exactly fishing related but a VERY worthy beer so that's a good addition

  13. I tied up a few today for this thread, still the same olive and copper combo (cuz that's all I really use) tied on a tiemco 200R sz. 12
  14. You know, even with my name I don't have a lot of photos of the buggers I tie.. But here's one with my go to olive bugger with copper bead and wire.. I prefer dubbing body's as opposed to chinille, and whitings buggers packs are the best hackle you can get for em
  15. Perfect timing, I just started to attempt the clouser minnow. This should help me fine tune em quick! Thanks guys!
  16. Tied a dozen clousers yesterday, and two with rabbit strip on top.. Anyone know the name of this pattern? I'm sure it's been done before but can't find a name for it
  17. Some shots from a recent trip to the McCloud river in northern ca
  18. Ya great start, maybe try using a little less material tho, the hair doesn't really collapse under the water pressure so even with little material the body holds it's shape. I also feel it adds to the illusion of transparency. Miles
  19. Man, I've had serious trouble with wool heads. To the point where i don't even use wool anymore.. I'm on a big senyo kick recently, to each there own, the only true critic is the fish...
  20. You and me both eide, leaves for lots of time on the vice tho!
  21. Very cool, I can see why they call them trout cod, if you squint your eyes real hard there face looks like a trout.. Thanks for posting!
  22. Been messing around with some oct. Caddis. Sizes 10-6. And a few of my go to olive wolly buggers..
