  1. Make-up remover / facial cream???? Who would have known! Thank for the tip!
  2. Senyo's Lazer Dub is great stuff. Been using it on a lot of streamers with veiled heads. Looks amazing in the water!!!!
  3. Flies arrived in a finely wrapped package. Can't wait till Christmas! Thanks for hosting BFR!
  4. Sweet fly Big E!!! Where did you get the sweet fire tiger rabbit strips?
  5. Good question! For me it depends on who I am tying the flies for. For people I know and appreciate the flies, I figure a $1 a fly is fair to recoup my costs. Then again it depends on the fly you are tying. For instance, if you are tying complex streamers that use tungsten cones you may want to charge more. Retail flies start at $1.95 and go up from there. Ultimately it is your call what you charge, but asking the customer what they are comfortable paying always seems to work for me. Hope this helps!
  6. Thanks for posting! CFR got my vote!
  7. A couple of months ago I was fortunate enough to win a C&R artwork contest of a 22" Brown trout that I caught on the Missouri this Spring. Alan Folger (the artist) is a top notch guy that believe or not is color blind. He does some beautiful trout replicas and just completed a great piece for the Project Healing Waters event in Cherokee, NC this upcoming weekend. Thought you guys might want to take a look. 8. Wish I was there! Great pics!
  9. Check out the The Fly Tier's Benchside Reference. Should be able to get it for $60. The set you are looking at looks like good stuff, but I guess it just depends on what you are trying to accomplish.
  10. Tubes they are! I'll take the left overs since you have bags of it. LOL
  11. If you want I can make some inquiries when I am out there in a few weeks. Send me a PM around the 25th and I will have the list of what you will need. Let me know what rivers you will be fishing...Clark Fork, Bitterroot, Blackfoot, or Rock Creek. I can get you the skinny from my buddy who is the outfitter for a shop.
  12. FB, I go out there a couple few times a year, but not typically in August. Make a quick call to the Grizzly Hackle, Th Kingfisher, or the Missoulian fly shops and they will be more than happy to give you all the insight that you will need for the trip.
  13. Me thinks you are referring to the Quick Change Artist. If that is what you are talking about, it incorporates components of a caddis, mayfly, emerger, and spinner. It just depends on what you trim off the bad boy. I haven't tied any yet, so I don't have any pics, but the whole thing is in Spring 2010 Fly Tyer mag. They don't have it on the website yet and couldn't find other links.
  14. That is one beautiful walk!!
  15. Those look sweet Chance! Would love to see those in a yellow and green!
  16. Blame it on global warming! Sorry guys just couldn't resist. Stay safe out there!
  17. Run of the mill fly or fancy, you will always remember the first fish caught on something you tied. Congrats!!!! BTW.....my first fish on a fly I tied was a GRHE, another run of the mill fly, but who cares......I caught one!
  18. Great fly and concept!! You just cost me some more money in stuff to tie Nasty Jr.
  19. That bad boy is sweeeet!!!! Pelhament......you took the words right out of my mouth!!!!
  20. Impressive! I don't even want to think about trying to fish that thing, you never see it if it is more than 2 ft away. LOL
