niveker 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2023 Starling & Herl Hook: wet fly 14 Thread: brown Weight: .020 wire Tail: starling fibers, dyed yellow Body: peacock herl Hackle: starling dyed yellow Not typically tied with a tail, but I had started off tying another Smoky Mountain Blackbird with yellow starling (Smoky Mountain Yellowbird?), but I muffed up palmering the split feather, so just left the tail and tied in the hackle.
