Several mentions of John Wayne's great role as Rooster Cogburn. I have to add my favorite starring "The Duke" is The Shootist.

Even Opie was good in that one

The Covenant is another I would highly suggest. I went and saw it at the theater a few months ago when it came out but I think it's out on various streaming platforms now. IMO I'd say it is probably the best movie I have seen this year.

There was some great casting in the Duke's old movies: Katie Hepburn, Dean Martin, Earnest Borgnine, Maureen O'Hara, Steve McQueen, George Kennedy, etc.

I'm in awe when I watch them now.

Just watched Extraction 2 this evening. Really good movie. I liked it just as much as the first one. 2 hrs long but actually didn't seem like it. Had a good pace and lots of action.

I saw that the other day. Non stop action all the way through. Liked it.
