Vito1 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2007 Graham, I like the effects on the LRB photo. I was just messing around with some pics the other day doing something similar.
Graham 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2007 What a magnificent looking fish Vito. I just had to have a go as well. I want to start experimenting with reflectors while taking fish face photos. I'm wondering if anyone here has done this and if they have any helpful suggestions. I'm also wondering how this light affects polarizing filters. I'd really like to enhance some of my brownie photos this fall without using fill flash.
Vito1 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2007 Nicely done, Graham. You made the red cheek really "pop". My eyes were drawn right to it.

Frankie 2 Times 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2007 Vito, Love the special effects on the pics. What software are you using to produce these? I'm basically a photo editing idiot and could use some help. Thanks. Frank
Vito1 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2007 Photoshop CS3. It's pretty easy to do when you become familiar with the filters. When you get familiar with that, you can do some cool stuff by using multiple layers of the same image and adjusting the layer properties.
Graham 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2007 Great looking images Vito, has a fine art feel to them. I like they way the photoshop effects look on flies as well. This is my go-to fly for big fall brownie action. But when taking fish photos I prefer not to have the fly in the shot, unless it adds drama, or a story line, as opposed of the cold sting of steel distracting from a beautiful fish face.
