what are your favorite deer hair flies? I generally tie big rats for bass. I also occasionally tie some muddlers and dahlberg divers. anyone else use deer hair for flies? what kind are ya tyin?

Kiwi Muddler, Letort Hopper, Deer Hair Caddis. Lately I have been playing around with an Irrestible with a body of deer hair spun in a dubbing loop.

Divers and poppers mostly for me. I like rabbit strip tails on my divers but hackle and rubber legs are nice, too.

I've been playing around with a foam body & spun hair head recently. :wallbash: Kind of looks like a frog that needs a haircut. :hyst: It's still pretty ugly, but I'm making progress. Maybe someone will host a swap later this winter. :yahoo:

Hans' pattern.......the CDC & Elk......although deer hair works just fine as well. And of course, the good ole' Muddler Minnow. One of the greatest flies EVER invented. mark.....

For me it's the Weedman's Slider. A good all round pattern for Pike, Musky, and Bass.
