phg 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2016 Mine went out in today's mail. I had to stand in line at the Post Office for over 20 minutes. Now I remember what I don't like about swaps!
troutguy 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2016 Mikechell my friends son and daughter have spent several years at McMurdo Base in Antarctica as firefighters. I can get you info on how to go.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2016 Great idea, Troutguy ... Thank you !!! Get that info together for me. I just dispatched a carrier pidgeon. When it gets there, just put the info in the tube on it's leg and whisper into it's ear, "Fly home little birdy ... fly away home!"
troutguy 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2016 Vicrider your flies arrived
vicente 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2016 I tied a couple of these when I saw the swap, and for something so simple getting that head to look good is really a pain.
fishinorhuntin 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2016 Vicente...I completely agree, of the 13 Thunder Creeks I sent I don't think any of the heads are consistent! (Maybe a couple) Everything else about the flies are pretty close to consistent, at least I think! I probably tied 30 of these things to try and get them as consisent as I could! I thought it would be a pretty easy fly to tie. Best thing about it: I enjoyed tying them and I have a bunch of extras to use for myself!
fishinorhuntin 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2016 Troutguy...Just curious if you received my flies yet. I sent them on 9/1. They might be floating around somewhere, after that storm we all had on the east coast!
