This is a finesse fly for what I am used to.

Respectfully submitted, all opinions welcome.attachicon.gifimage.jpeg

I am not sure what you call finesse fishing. To me, finesse fishing is super small, super quiet and stealthy.

That fly is going to land with some splash, push a lot of water with that collar and get slammed by some hungry (large) predator!!!

Not very "finesse-y" at all !!!

It is finesse tying to me.

More elaborate than usual in a smaller hook than usual. I ended up cutting the collar too. We will see..

It's because I've left the barbs on isn't it wink.png

Might be subliminal for me.

I don't actually notice if the barb is there, but my subconscious automatically bumps it up a notch or two.

I'm sure flytire will respond in due time, meanwhile hopefully this will work:

Yeah it's certainly an interesting pattern. I'll be trying this too, just right now I'm into poppers, hoppers and Mahogany Duns. Have fun !

Deer Hair Spook...I think..not tested yet.

IMG_7434_zps2fsoyhll.jpg

I don't know about it being a "Zara Spook" copy, since I abhor the thought of tying a fly to mimic a lure. That's like painting a picture of another picture.

On the other hand ... I LIKE this fly. Great bait fish pattern. Lot of work tying that ... and some big fish is going to destroy it on the first good bite you get.

I just called it that because I've been working on something that will do that "Walk the Dog" action. It has some lead in the rear end.

I think the next one I'll try and shape it more like a real Spook and turn down the eye

Elusive,.....I like Bruce, Nice tie
