A gill-breathing, hot spot Pheasant Tail. Subbed hen hackle for PT on the tail to increase durability.

 

hook - Dai Riki 075 #12

thread - Danville 6/0 brown

tail - hen brown

rib - small wire copper

abdomen/shellback - pheasant tail

hot spot - holo tinsel red

thorax - dubbing hare's ear

breathers - Congo Hair cream

i got the blades at cabelas here in connecticut but you should be able to get them on ebay uk

they are "colorado spinner blades size 00" (smallest)

I Thiink Netcraft or Hagensfish.com has size 0 or size 00 blades also.

In another thread someone mentioned Kelly Galloup's Found Link. I've had great success fishing Mercer's Missing Link. So I figured I'd go Found also. 22 in the vise. 18,20 and 22 together. Not perfect but I'm working on it.

Haven't posted my flies as of late. Busy tying for others and work 7 days a week. A request I had was my size #1 streamer sized down to #14. Staying with my pattern but no 3d eyes here it is.

Tom, any chance of getting a recipe for this fly?

I like this pattern a lot, looks like a fish getter!

Ok. This one is size 14.

Hook-14 1x short shank shrimp/scud

Body-floss red pink yellow or pearl braid

Body hair-shadow fox white yellow and brown

Thread-black 8/

eyes- living eyes ice

UV resin head and eyes. Bug bond

Crystal flash wing material 4 pcs after 1st clump of white hair

Flashabou red pearl silver or gold 2 per side after head is formed

1st clump is 2 to 3 times hook length

2nd is half clump slightly shorter

3rd is same as 2nd and slightly shorter than 2nd

UV glue eyes forward

Finish with uv complete head and eyes

 

Have fun. Fox insulates great in water
