Okay ... so ... your sitting in a hotel room with a terrible internet connection ... what do you do?

You play with yourself. I mean you play BY yourself, with the materials you brought along on the trip.

Hook: generic, size 8, straight

Abdomen: Craft fur dubbing loop.

Legs: hackle

Thorax: 2mm foam, painted black

Wings: hackle tips

I stuck a needle into the foam, then inserted the wings into the holes with superglue.

Attempting to improve my fly photography. Borrowed my wife's camera, macro lens and a few flashes.

Is it just me, or do buggers with bead chain eyes look awesome? How come you don't see more of these?

So yesterday I get a shipment of cannulas for my oxygen and they sent me the wrong ones.

It turns out to be a win anyway. The nose piece is smaller than my regular cannula by about half.
So of course I turn it into a shrimp which is in perfect proportion for a Ghost shrimp at 2".
So now I have the perfect size cannula for a regular size shrimp, about 4" and a Ghost Shrimp, 2".

I like using the cannulas because they create a perfect carapace, thorax and abdomen with no real work.
