skeet3t 0 Report post Posted July 21, 2021 1. How long does it take to stop in an emergency? 2. How many body bags are needed if it derails for some reason? 3. A comedian said that pioneers took six months to cross the US. With today's traffic and all the stop lights, that is still good time.☺️
mikechell 0 Report post Posted July 21, 2021 I'd go. Watching the world pass by at over 350 mph would be pretty neat. If it was cheaper than a plane, I'd even be interested in using it for business travel ... much more interesting than viewing the Earth from 33,000 feet. I love flying, but I'd like to see stuff. I've traveled many times on regular trains ... Dad was a conductor. It was always a fun ride, and if there was a dining car, a good meal or two. Worth every penny. 350 mph plus wouldn't give you much time to dine, but the scenery would still be fun to watch.

Steeldrifter 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2021 A train that goes that fast, no thanks. With that said, my whole life I have always wanted to go on a long far away fishing trip via and old style 1920's/30's train. I think that would be an awesome experience. Poopdeck 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2021 I’m positive I don’t need to go that fast in a train. In fact, I don’t need a slow train either.
