  1. Great looking fly Shane, and a good story too
  2. I used Nikon Capture NX2, adjusted the levels, increased the saturation then sharpened it a bit. Nice capture, I think it would benefit by cropping out the bird on the right.
  3. Thanks, hoping the trout here like it also. The flash is a mixture of a few green H2O Twist and a blue and purple H2O Flash (both from Fly Tyers Dungeon), held in place with Hard as Nails.
  4. I decided to tie a Jersey Herd, or at least my slight variation of it, need an address
  5. These are a sure sign spring is here, can't wait! Handheld, 105mm macro lens, taken last summer.
  6. Nicely tied, great looking fly!
  7. Nice tie Dave, that makes another one of your ties I 'need' in my box What color is the raffia? Looks reddish orange on my screen.
  8. Nice tie Terje Interesting use of the ski wax for touch dubbing, I think I will try that.
  9. What are you interested in tying? What fish are you after? PM your address, I have some materials I can pass along.
  10. Light packet also, I think it's $2.12 +tax now. I try to send it a couple of weeks before the deadline to give it a fair chance of arriving on time. Mouse what size Altoids container are you using? I know with the light packet can't be thicker than 20mm.
  11. Surprised this has not filled yet... If we each tie a dozen we will get back two of each, that sounds okay to me
  12. This is my second swap in two days that had 'no shows'
  13. No need to make up for the tiers that did not fulfill their obligation, it's unfortunate but not up to you to cover them. You and your fishing friend can keep any 'spares' of mine. Thanks for hosting
  14. Mr Peacock dubbing is very coarse. It works great in a dubbing loop and makes nice bodies but it's hard to twist to a bare thread. I use it out of the bag but I can see how it would be aggravating out of a dubbing box hole.
  15. Beautiful captures Jay A few more days??? Season does not open here until the 15th of April, but the photos help!
  16. Beautiful tie Dave, love the 'hackle'.
  17. Great captures, looks like a productive day on the water too. We are a long way from fishing (other than ice) here, nice to see someone wet a line
  18. You did good finding that, I looked with not much luck. Great info for us swappers in the north
  19. Beautiful ties Hans I like how you matched the plastic to the dubbing, very nice.
  20. Make sure your container/envelope is thinner than 20mm, it should cost less than $2 for Canada and just over $2 for US destinations.
  21. Nice looking tie Do you have a material list?
