other than having guts; a wooley worm is about as close to a caterpillar as you can get.

Oh Yeah Mrs. Materelli raised a fine lad there. Even if his only claim to fame is a whip finisher. I love that tool.

I love my Nor-vise automatic bobbins. I like my Renzetti Master Vise with the Ausable crank. I hate the Renzetti Company because they're a bunch of pompus asses that don't appreciate the people who buy their product and they won't stand behind their warranty. I love my Dr Slick scissors. I can get them sharpened at my local knife sharpener guy. (I checked him out with my barber first though). I like my griffin tools; they're simple, funtional and inexpensive. I like my Jade River Bead nabber for installing micro mono eyes on mayfly nymphs. I like my McKenzie vise light. I like the service that Norm Norlander gives his customers. I ordered 4 vises on Friday and got them today. I like the unconditional gratitude that the Griffin People give their customers. I own 2 of their vises too. I like the oddessy Cam vise as my travel vise when I've got to pack up light. I hate how alot of the "big namers" forgot that we are what keep them in business. And forgot how to respect customers. I like my Anvil Ice stainless scissors I Love my Liquid Lace for tying perfect bodies.

A Rainbow from "zipper-Lip" lake in BC

No, It was a Salt Water Master vice that would'nt even hold a size 12 nymph hook (200R) without sending it sailing across the room when you inserted it in the jaws. I was really getting nervous about putting my eye or someone elses eye out ( I do alot of tying at shows).

I think that alot of the "big Namers" have lost something along thier way. That is customer appreaciation and commitment to honor their word. I just had a run through with supposably" the best vise maker in the world" When they wouldn't honor thier own warranty. They guarantee the Master vise for a life time against Workmanship and materials. This was clearly a piss poor job of tempering the jaws therfore was it faulty materials or workmanship or both? My friend Lily said it was from using to big a hook in the jaws at first. When I explained to her that the largest hook that I have in my collection was a 5/0 and she advertises this vise to tye from 10/0 down to a 28 how can see advertise that. Then she said everything wears old including us. Now there's some customer appreaciation! I would'nt buy another one of ANy of their products when they treat people like they're shit. I told it really pisses me off when you invest $800.00 in a vise (Ausable Speed crank, and some other shit) and end up with an inferior product, and they won't fix the problem. I never got any of this kind of shit dealing with the Griffin company ; in Fact they're really quite nice to deal with . So like I told my Friend Lily, You don't always get what you pay for but, when somebody burns me I always get pay backs and the internet is a very powerful tool.

That was my question. Are they limiting it to a certain number of students, How long are the intended sessions, how many sessions are you expected to teach, and how many patterns per session. Those are important questions to ask.

Get a hold of Ronn Lucas Sr. on this site. Salmon fly forum I believe. He has access to some really exotic hooks which are custom made for him and just might have what you've got in mind. Randy

And Damn you've got yourself a nice looking dog there too finhunter...

I agree with finhunter being on my second marriage. Besides, why do all of that mushy stuff. Go rent some horses and take her on a pack trip up to some remote lake. slip her her "new fly box" with a ring in it if you're both happy with each other and there's no way out. I think that these days you should really get to know each other good before you commit to marriage. It's not that I don't believe in it ;it's just that things have a tendency to change after the first couple of years . So if you live together for a few then get married it prolongs the good times even further. Screwed up concept I know...

Thanks, You know who you are . Anyway, Ed and I are heading to the lake we talked about awhile back to try those Liquid Lace Chironomids. If you're around stop by Saturday.
