  1. Fish fried over fire is nice. Is this a different part of the river from where your cabin is located?
  2. Cool! I wouldve released the walleye into grease! Keep catching!
  3. Cool Steve! If you get any skinnier we wont be able to see you behind those big fish!
  4. The name made me laugh!
  5. Nice Steve. This reminds me of the one you built for me. Very fun rod to fish and bombs casts to panfish.

    Lefty Kreh passes....

I read Hawkings book. What a mind! The book was a very difficult read. It was a required read in college for one of my classes.
  7. Caught several last year at the house. Very pretty bug. Would never have thought to fish with them.
  8. Mike Have you ever seen a bull service a pasture full of cows and heifers; I guarantee once you see and hear it you know the bull is enjoying himself to the fullest. I disagree that animals dont find the birds and bees pleasurable! Lol!
  9. I had a college professor way back when ask the question what is the difference in mankind versus all other animals? No one got the answer he was looking to get. The answer: man is the only animal that is in a constant state of heat!
  10. Ken Did you make the pickles? Thinking of trying this myself? A report? Thanks. I hope everything is going positive your way!
  11. I have a 10 2wt that Steve built its lined with a 3wt. It bombs casts. Its one of my favorite rods to fish. I dont mind casting into the wind so long as the fly isnt that heavy. I do cast flies with bead chain eyes. I fish it from a boat. Biggest fish to date on it is a 5 or 6lb channel cat.
  12. DenDuke I think Cream used legs from Pat Cohens site, rusuperfly, but he can correct me if I am wrong.
  13. That is an awesome name for a liquor store. I love it! Dropped some animals off in Montana to be skinned for fur once and the lady proprietors proudly wore shits called the skinning bitches. One to two dollars per hide.
  14. Just got back from Key Largo and spent some time fishing. I go down there 4 to 5 times per year. Fishing has been good since the storm. The mackeral bite has been hot. Snapper is good. Redfish and snook have moved to new areas since the storm and are not just in the park. Shark is good. I always fish from a boat so cant help you there on shore fishing. I just got back on the 2cnd. I fished the reef and patch reefs but not with the fly. I caught mangrove, yellowtail, vermillion and mutton snapper; red, black and cherry grouper; almaco, kingfish, cero mackeral, and other assorted fishes. South of Marathon is still recovering from the hurricane. Big Pine and Cudjoe are in very bad shape. Good luck!
  15. Lighter works. Dip into paint. Works fine. Dont leave it under flame long as lead will melt.
  16. JS Tell us about the steak recipe. No steelhead here but should work for salmon (store) Thanks
  17. Country, blues, southern rock, Americana, some bluegrass. Love Willie, Mellencamp, Petty. Also, like the Beetles. Pretty much anything but rap and death metal. I like to be able to decipher the lyrics.
  18. AGN Thanks! Got yours! I especially like the clouser with the fluffy stuff! Merry Christmas all! Peace on earth!
  19. Having. Christmas Merry in your honor FRN. Sent you a pm with my contact info. Merry Christmas on and all!
  20. Ive never broken Mylar tinsel while wrapping. Ive had it unravel but that was solely operater error.
  21. Appalachian brook trout are native to TN in the Smokies
  22. PHG Must think globally. I was. Anyway, took my son for stocked trout the other day. He caught a ton and had fun. Its easy or was this day. Anyway, he had a good time and that whats important to me. Trout are not native to my home state of Kentucky. Its kind of weird because they are in Tennessee and I only live 30 or so miles from the border. I dont guess it really matters though the streams in the mountains here are too polluted for trout in any event.
