Hook - Standard dry fly hook, sizes 12 to 20

Thread - Black

Rib - Grizzly hackle, palmered and trimmed on top

Body - Red floss (original), I used olive floss as it is more traditional to today's tying

Underwing - Lemon wood duck fibers

Wing - Gray duck quill

Head Hackle - Dark ginger

Elegant, those two, ( two colors no less) are great ties. Well done! You went well over and above on this one.

Pretty flies, as usual Norm. 

I attempted to tie a few before throwing my hat in the ring, only one made it past the razor, so I gave up.  I could not for the life of me get the body hackle to lay correctly, which I screwed up even further trying to set the wings.

Hook -  Size Mustad R50AP size 12

Thread - White GSP for the hair, UTC 70 Tan for the head 

Body - Deer Hair belly 

Hackle - Dark Ginger 

Antenna - Quill of dark ginger 

 

I did 6 and this one was the best of the bunch,  not quite where I wanted to be to share it but I think it qualifies as a Goddard Caddis.  This was lots of fun.
