JSzymczyk 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2014 that's a fat fish... kind of an odd looking trout ? where is it from? it had just been out for a while, pulled like a beast and its from grafham water, near Cambridge in the uk I've been watching a lot of "The Totally Awesome Fishing Show" on youtube... all in the UK and they do some trout fishing shows. They seem to all be pay-to-fish, no release waters. Is grafham like that?
Piker20 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2014 Yep Grafham is a large water supply reservoir that is stocked with rainbows but also has browns and some massive Pike and Zander. You pay to fish and are allowed so many trout depending on your ticket. You can release fish if you want but most take a 'bag limit' where able. Awjimmy 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2014 Here we go, the rain is back again. All the snakeheads are all ambushing in the shallows of the river and canal mouths. These are just good sight casting game with a slider or muddler. Once you pop an offer near the head, expect the bang and tight lines! Jimmy
Rocco 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2014 Laxi, No fair, photoshopping those Atlantic salmon to look like Browns! Actually, very nice fish. Rocco

Fly Fishing Russia 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2014 Lasr week I was lucky to land a good size redfin & a 23-pound catfish.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2014 The Redfin is a neat looking fish. The catfish looks like as eel from the angle the photo was taken. WSchmitt3 ... that Smallmouth in the net looks ... FAT. Nice catches.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2014 Got all my chores done for the in-laws ... and got out on the St. Johns River again. Once again, the sunfishes were cooperating. I didn't catch a lot, but i had fun with the variety. Long Eared Sunfish I caught more of the Warmouth/goggle eye/whatever today than usual. Small ones And larger ones. And several of the scrappy Coppernose Bluegill. Then the temps reached the upper 90s and the wind started kicking up. Next time out, I'm trying my GoPro. Istripbuggers 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2014 Some nice looking fish this week, well done everyone! Here's a yellow perch. I caught him while fishing for trout in my local lake. A new species record for me as well.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2014 Yellow perch ... another of the species that don't live this far south. I remember catching tons of them ... 6 or 7 inches long, with a few being in the "huge" range of 10 inches or so.
Philly 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2014 Here's two that I picked up last night, fishing a lake along Route 100 in central Vermont. The interesting part is they were both caught on the same fly, a yellow slider, you can see it in the mouth of the first fish.
