crawfish for a local lake

nice ties Sandflyx.

tonight I've been playing on a theme. Essentially a fuzzle shrimp using sea dragon dubbing I put on a brush, and tied onto a #2 SL11-3H.

Nick, no scruffier than the original. it looks as though you have done something I like to do. I'm not a fan of counter wound ribs. Rather than counter wind the rib, counter wind the body material and wind the rib conventionally.

This isn't just an aesthetic thing,I believe it makes a stronger fly. Materials tied in in the same direction they are wound are tightened by the wraps. Wrapping against the direction of wind loosens the material. The rib is often the strongest part of the fly. i don't want to reduce the strength at all.

Cheers,

C.
