November Flies from the Vise

Recommended Posts

Haven't posted since my introduction post, thought I would show that I actually do tie. Just a quick shot with my phone... I have a DSLR with macro lenses, but too lazy to set up the lighting.

Killing time until the Hokies play...

Killer, how long is it, I am trying to figure sizing here?

A $1 for scale, along with some fresh 'Red Meat' flies too.

More of a muskie-sized fly, but I shan't sniff a gift fish (LMB).

Eide, On that Blue Doctor did you purposely put the little "face" in the black and white area? Looks like a pale fisherman with polarized sunglasses and a large forehead

A new experiment for me, am calling it "The Big Tasty".

Found some reinforced silicone sheeting and cut out a curly tail.

Tried it out yesterday, looks delicious.

What is " reinforce Silicone sheeting" and where do you get it?

Nice looking bass fly

GC59,

Nice nymph. Falls well into the category of what I tell new folks to fly fishing when asked what fly is the best. Any species of fish will eat something that is brown and about 5/8 of an inch long.
