flytire 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2017 Flytire, I keep looking at that peacock herl... is it just laying on there? no tying note: all of the body materials are tied in behind the eye of the hook in the sequential order: ribbing, peacock herl, orange yarn. tied this way, there are no ugly bumps showing where materials are tied in then the body (orange yarn) is tied on and wrapped forward to the eye. the herl is then pulled over the body and tied off at the eye finally the ribbing is counter wrapped forward an tied off the first thing tied down is the last thing to be wrapped forward (tying lesson #2)
Bimini15 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2017 the herl is then pulled over the body and tied off at the eye That is what I meant, in an inarticulate way. It is a beauty.
