Kimo ... that looks like a great wasp.

Watching the video, though ... it never gets to a full side view !!!

Did I miss it?

Braided tubing and orange foam from Dollar Tree. Green sewing thread from Michael's. Mylar tinsel from a Dollar Store in Anchorage.

Idea from this site ... I think Denduke, sorry if I got that wrong.

No, I just didn't want it to go to long so I trimmed it.

You get the idea though.

I don't know. These flies are very light for their sizes. If the "wicker basket" weave of the tubes doesn't catch too much air, I think they'll be very easy to cast to targets.

I tied a couple on size 4 Aberdeen hooks.

Mike, are you in Anchorage? You're only about 365 miles away from Fairbanks. You're not even in the north yet. I took your post to mean you were in Anchorage. Come on by if you get up here.

Playing around with materials and techniques. They aren't perfect, but I think I like the overall profile.

No, sorry, I was in Anchorage December of 2017. Stopped in at a place called, "The Dollar Store" if I remember correctly. Nothing was actually as low as one dollar, but ... Alaska.

I bought a couple of bags of "Fat Toad" party shred.
