Another interesting pattern from Planettrout; this one incorporates a half bullethead and snowshoe outriggers with the backend from John Barr’s Graphic caddis.  Here’s his fine SBS if you’re interested; only change I made in the sequence was to tie in the deer hair (forward facing) after the abdomen but prior to the outriggers (makes it easier to establish proportions for the head/thorax; less chance of cramming the eye).

hook - WFC Model 28 #12
thread - Veevus 8/0 tan
tag - holo tinsel gold
underbody - tying thread
overbody - micro tubing tan
thorax - Ice Dub tan
underwing - Krystal Midge Flash rootbeer
head - Ice Dub tan
wing - deer hair bleached

Regards,
Scott

One weird looking fly but, per the author, effective for trout on the Madison, so worth a shot.

hook - standard dry #14
thread - Veevus 8/0 tan
shuck - marabou tannish dun
rib - x-small wire gold
body - Ice Dub tan
underwing - Krystal Midge Flash rootbeer
wing - deer hair
hackle - barred cream tips
head - pronghorn

Regards,
Scott

He LOVED them. He was going right to the stream after picking them up so I'm sure I will hear If they worked or not.
