mikechell 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2016 Mogup ... are you just looking for the hardest to locate hooks? I can find a couple of places online where they talk about the hooks. And a few that show the hooks. They don't look like anything special or different than what you can buy locally. Unless you're specifically trying to support the South African economy (which would require buying a LOT of hooks) I can't see a benefit to finding a source for those brand hooks. Moshup 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2016 Mike, I'm trying to follow a pattern menu that calls for these hooks. If I can't find them or they're prohibitively expensive I'll seek a substitute.

planettrout 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2016 Does anyone know of a source for these hooks in the U.S. .Thanks. At one time, Fly Tying Specialties here in CA carried the Grip Hook line. That is no longer the case. They are available in the UK at some locations. This is the distributor for that hook: http://www.scientificfly.com/shop/hooks/grip-14723bl/ Consider this hook as a possible alternative: https://planettrout.files.wordpress.com/2015/12/tmc-226-bl-hooks.jpg ...or the TMC 206 BL Hook: http://www.jsflyfishing.com/tiemco-tmc-206bl-caddis-larvae-emergers-fly-hook PT/TB
