Flat Rock native 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2016 I would give it try. Could you post the recipe? Thanks rstaight, was was just getting ready to ask. Think this one, in a larger or medium size, would light up the warm waters pisces in my regional waters. I have also just killed reservoir trout on a Tellico nymph with a common color scheme
mikechell 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2016 I do like it !! I like the blue trim one the yellow biot. ??? I would like to know what that is? Is it a separate blue wire, or part of the biot? Like many of the above answers, I don't fish for trout, and don't use the that type of fly.
Kentuckysteve 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2016 Very nice fly. What is the yellow body material you used for it? Not in the same league, but I tie a fly with those colors that does very well with bluegills down here. Exactly what i was thinking too.I tie a bee that kill's bluegill here. Flat Rock native 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2016 I am going to go with yellow furry foam, looks artifical, but can' t tell what the size of this thing is or see the edge, the palmered hackle looks like a peafowl twister on a blue metallic, thread from a fabric store. Really, I have no clue but wild-azz guesses are still free.
flytire 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2016 I think the body is a yellow biot tied flat. A yellow biot would not have a black Herl type edge. It would be all yellow. could be pelicanThe rib might be a single fiber from a blue Jay feather or a single fiber from a blue macaw feather
rstaight 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2016 This may be way out there. Could the body be heat shrink tubing with a stripped peacock herl?
