I use thin strips of foam to make the post. It is stiffer than other material and makes it easier to wrap the hackle. HTH Rick

A group of "hares ears" type flies

Ponds are starting to clear some with not as much algae in them. I have been catching a few fish lately, but stopped fishing for 2 months this summer. All this from the drought we are in. Rick
