What’s the rope for?

Macrame cord.  Brushed out it can be used as a sub for EP Fibers/synthetic hair, wings, parachute posts, dubbing blends, shucks on emergers. The only limit is your creativity.

A little long and overdone, but this guy shows the basic prep

If you ever fish for gar just use the brushed out fibers on a swivel without a hook to catch gar. It tangles in their teeth and can't spit it out. Careful pulling it free of those teeth though.

Very fine set of flies arrived here last Friday - sorry I'm late in acknowledging. :) Thanks Kim for hosting a fun swap (and for the extra goodies).
