I've been tying Atlantic Salmon flies since I started fishing for those great fish in the mid 1970's and these are new to me. I like'em too!!

I haven't posted anything in, I don't know, a year and a half two years due to a continuing series of health problems - which have all been resolved. Anyway, I was reading Dave Hughes Nymphs for Streams and Stillwaters when I decided that I would tie several of each fly in the book (in a couple of different sizes). I was finishing up some Rubber Leg Copper Johns When I realized I hadn't posted here in quite a while. So...

This is a restock for my box, the Gills have absolutely been destroying this fly, particularly the black marabou.

So I tied this variation using Black Kip Tail.

We will see how it holds up.
