Some carp nymphs

You guys are going to get sick of seeing these flies, but I am on a carp mission!! I took the day after super bowl off, and did some tying! These are Brinx' AP nymphs off of the golden bones video by tony pagleie.

I dont know, I am going to start looking for them in late april/ may, and then fish all summer and fall for them.

I to will be out looking for the golden ghosts in michigans waterways this year. I hear there really challenging on a fly rod. Cant wait. Got a recipe for those flys.

Hook: Daiichi 1730 (bent shank) Size 10

Tail: Fluff from hen saddle feathers

Rib: Gudebrod Ht rib

thorax: Hares web dubbing from fly tyers dungeon

Wingcase: dyed pheasant tail fibers

Abdomen: Hares web dubbing from fly tyers dungeon

Hackle: Hen saddle

I might have to pay you a visit this summer. Sage mentioned putting a hurtin' on the gills in May too.

 

The Skip's Dads look great too. I've done well on smallmouth in lakes with those.
