Thread colors

If you could only have 6 different colors of thread what 6 colors would you choose?

For decades I tied with just 4 colors, just recently adding two more. The 4 colors are black, olive, tan and red. I added orange and copper/brown. I've had a bunch of other colors in sewing thread I may or may not use for body material or ribbing but as far as tying the fly, those are the colors I use in 6/0, 8/0 or 70D..

My base colors for 90% of my patterns are white and black. I do mix in olive, orange, red and chartreuse.

Black, Brown, Olive, Red, Yellow, and Orange.

Rusty orange, white, primrose, black, red, and something else. (I do seem to tie a lot of snipe and purple, so probably the latter.)

As soon as I use up my 72 spools of thread in 9 colors, I am going with all white and a few markers.

Red, orange, olive, black, pink, tan.
