The rojo is a 26 (TMC2487), the stoneflys are 16s(TMC2487) and the Catskill style is an 18 (standard dry fly hook).Winter tailwater fishing around here is 24/26 pretty much exclusively. Instead of a standard pheasant tail for the active nymphs I thought I'd try Burk's HBI, which is supposed to work on picky trout that have seen too many pts. I know what you mean about the 26/22 thing. I was texting a buddy last night and I mentioned I had picked up some 28's for our upcoming trip to the San Juan.
