There all amazing Kimo smile.png could you tell me the materials and hook used for the red midge larva

Hook: Daiichi 1870 #14

Thread: Uni 17/0 Trico, White

Tail: CDL, Dark

Abdomen/Legs: Peacock Herl, Red

Wing Pads: Goose Biots, Red

Wingcase: Medallion Sheeting

Coated with Loon UV Knot Sense

 

Did you see the PM I sent you?

Look at the eraser technique for the abdomen.

The hackle came out of the dye bath a bit more purple than I was looking for; weird, because I've had pretty good luck with that color. Cape was off-white so maybe that's why?

 

 

hook - Dai Riki 075 #8

thread - Danville 6/0 black

tail - bleached pheasant tail dyed scarlet (3Tsp Rit Scarlet, 2 Tsp Rit Golden Yellow/1 cup water)

rib - small wire silver

body - dubbing black

body hackle - dyed claret (1 Tbs Rit Wine/1 cup water) and black

shoulder hackle - chukar partridge

Normally, those classic flies you're tying, flytire, aren't "my thing". You know you're a master at tying them, so I don't comment about the excellent quality you're presenting.

But I must admit, I really like that "Tiger Ghost".

Tip - Fluorescent green floss, fluorescent orange floss or uni-stretch

Tag - Oval silver tinsel

Body - Gudebrod buttwind (black & white)

Wing - Yellow, white, and black bucktail in that order

Cheeks - Silver pheasant feathers

Looks pretty damn cool, nicely done.
