Steeldrifter 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2021 As a result of cutting so much sodium out of my diet to help with the tinnitus issues I've been having, it has also helped me with the recent weight lose I've been working on again. Down 42lbs now in the past 2 months. Or going back to when I started the original change of lifestyle 9 yrs ago...down a total of 182lbs lost overall. I'm now 218lbs which is the lightest I have been in 25 yrs. Fishing shirt that hasn't fit me for a few years fits good now Grocery shopping is quite different for me these days. Use to be it was white bread, Pringles, Reese's, salt/butter and Pepsi. Now it's all bananas, apples, pears, applesauce, grapes, whole grain bread, thin sliced turkey, orange juice and water. My body is probably wondering what in the world is going on lol

DFoster 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2021 Nice results Steve! Losing weight is probably one of the most challenging things in my life.   I remember you said somewhere you were only eating 1400 calories per day. Is that still correct? I certainly could stand to lose some weight so please let us know how your doing it (details if you don't mind). I have some old fishing clothes I would love to fit into again! I'm at 215 lbs now and that's a pretty good weight for my 6'4" height so I am eating about 1600-1700 per day now and able to pretty much maintain my weight at that number so far. This week I've dropped another 1/2-1lb so if I keep losing slowly then I'll probably bump up the calories a bit more to about 2,000 per day.
