  1. A grate muddlerhead! Absolutely fantastic! I think that tail is a little too thick. And the wing is a little too long... A tip: dont use tip of the feather, use only the "fibres" of the tippet.
  2. What hook is in this fly? Hanak's dry fly hook?
  3. Hmmm... Big ones, here in finland we use 30cm flys, for trout and pike. And I have about 50cm fly, but I don't know where. :wallbash: Not with bad, those are still big ones, especially Runarssons fly.
  4. I think that colour doesn't matter. I don't see any difference between fl. yellow and white. But i still use white because it makes bigger contrast with dark water than yellow.
  5. I use a lot of different hooks, now I have Scierra, Fulling Mill, Partridge, Mustad, Tiemco, Kamasan, Knapek, Hanak. Kamasan is my favorite now, but theres no barbless hooks. :wallbash: . Thats why i'm moving to Knapek. Hanak has a great hooks, but they're so weak. When using small hooks, i use hanak dry hooks. They're so strong, that i haven't had to search anythin better. In pupas and larvas i use only Fulling Mill heavyweight grub(seldom), and kamasan grubber, b110. Not b100! Streamers, the most kamasan b800, b830, and b840. Easy to crush the barb, and they are good for all kinds of streamers. Dryflys, from size 14 to size 10 usually kamasan b400. Enough strong and light. For pike tiemco 811s, or 911s, kamasan b840, or partridge ad swier hooks. From those i find a hook for all pikeflys.
  6. The finnish Dark Puh would be a good one. I send a link, it finnis but still... http://perhorasia.fi/Fly/Fly.thtml?flyID=128

  10. I'm not sure. There's so many good ones... But if I have to say something, maybe foam, moose hair, pheasant tail and Whitning's hackles.

    Hello!

willhunsaker, yeah, in middle of nowhere
  17. In thin tips I use always fluorocarbon. It's much stronger than nylon, but I have to do the knots extremely well. Usually I use in thick tips nylon, but I'm now testing 0.18mm fluorocarbon. I still think, that I keep in nylon. Have to test more.
  18. Absolutely Benecchi 12/0! Then maybe Sheer 14/0, but no Uni! Uni's threads are so weak...
