  1. Hi Saltybum, I use the Fas-snap only for salt water and pike fishing. With the pike tippet, which in made with large florocarbon or still wire, it is a useful trick for changing easyly the flies. In salt water, expecially for sea bass, you need to use different flies in agreement with the spots you are exploring, so you do not have the problem to cut piece and piece of your leader making a new knot evytime. Hi Kokoek9, if the feather strip splits do not worry, it is not a problem for the final result, or at least it does not compromise the alluring power of the fly, but you can obtain a good result if you use a strip 4 to 6 mm wide and you fix it in front of the abdomen for its larger end, so when you push it to cover the thorax you have to fix the smaller end just behind the hook eye. Take care to keep the external part of the strip, that is more colorful, agains the body when you fix it, so it will goes outside when you bend it towards.   4. Last season I caught a quite good number of trout with a Black Gold Head tied on a No. 12 hook, sometimes using it with a strike indicator.   14. Hi Guys, in these days I have visited some reservoirs not far from my city and to tempt the rainbow trout introduced in these places I have generally used nymphs and streamers. Sometimes the most colorful patterns have been the best choice to induce to take the trout and flies like the Orange Muddler Minnow have make the difference in many situations.   21. Nice fish! Did you receive some more takes and you not hooked the fish? I used for pike fishing my Articulated Fish and I was unable to hook some pike. Maybe they were young fish, but I wish to make some temps with the fly that have the hook at the tail.

  24. Hi TheCream, you pointed out one problem of this fly, i.e. to tie just one pattern you need to use an entire packet of minnow wrap so it is not a cheap fly and I do not suggest to use it on spots where there is high chances to lost flies.
