Like a bushy Gartside Sparrow; pretty simple tie (weight optional).  Here’s a nice video if you’re interested.

hook - Daiichi 2161 #6
thread - Uni 8/0 fire orange 
tail - pheasant marabou 
flash - Krystal Flash root beer
body - pheasant marabou (loop dubbed)
shoulder - pheasant rump (2)

Thread - Plain 8/0 pale green (I used olive)

Tail - Calf tail hairs dyed pale green

Body - Tinsel medium flat, silver

Wing - Red krystal flash

Head - Green thread with two yellow eyes

The Red Comet (fabri-mouches.ca)

This would excite some bluegills in my area

Normally, the folks at the airport who check my bags leave things pretty much undisturbed.  When I opened the one my tying stuff was in this morning, things were all over the place. I grabbed a couple of the feathers and piece of yarn that were loose and this is the result; kind of a companion to the Leftover Octopus.

hook - WFC Model 6 #10
thread - Uni 8/0 chartreuse 
tail - yarn chartreuse 
rib - small wire gold
body - dubbing chartreuse 
body hackles - grizzly dyed chartreuse/hot orange
1st shoulder - pheasant rump dyed chartreuse (1 Tbs Rit Neon Yellow/1 cup water)
2nd shoulder - hen badger dyed neon peach (2 Tsp Rit Golden Yellow, 1/8 Tsp Rit Coral/2 cups water)

I tied these poppers for the damsel fly hatch on Lake Minnetonka. 
foam head.    8089 hook.   Doll eyes.  Blue bucktail and blue krystal flash. Blue hackle.

This fly has been crushing them lately for me.  I fish it dry with floatant on the hackle only.  It tends to want to float hook down which makes it look like a spider.

I LOVE the "and" type patterns.  Love how you tied in the herl first, then the hackle.  Very nice tie.
