The Quack

Thread: dark brown, 8/0

Wing: kip tail (original was impala)

Tail: natural brown bucktail, not sure what original tailing was used.  

Body: peacock, red buttonhole silk, peacock

Hackle: dark brown 

 

This is what most people refer to as a Royal Wulff,  created essentially at the same time as the Quack.  Mrs. Dette refused to call it a Royal Wulff, I assume because she felt Q. L. Quackenbush should be given credit for its creation.

Of course, I could be wrong.
