SILKHDH 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2017 I don't know what that is made from, but that my friend is, well let's just say , "I'd eat it" That's very interesting. What's the target species with that fly. Looks like it would catch anything.

What's the target species with that fly. Looks like it would catch anything. All kinds of fun stuff. Kiley's Damzel Tail, rubber legs, Cohen's Carp Dub are the main ingredients. I'm planning on targeting carp and panfish with it.
FKROW 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2017 Jeff, I began experimenting with soft plastics on my flies for Smallmouth 12-15 years ago. Most of my friends were very negative, until they saw how efficient they were on the river but most still would not use them,,, "dark side", etc. The Kiley's products are not exactly soft plastics but are easier work with for tying flies and have innovative motion in the water. You have raised the bar to a new level, very creative, thanks for posting. Regards, FK

I, personally, don't get myself caught up in what is acceptable and what's not, where is "the line," etc... All I care about is 1) is something practical to use, 2) will it function appropriately on fly gear, and 3) will it catch fish for me.

Just keep posting them up, fish do not obey the rules anyway, they eat maggots and worms, and catfish stink bait. Real fishermen are not scared..... Bimini15 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2017 Cream, you must admit that you, at some point, also contemplate the aesthetics. It would not otherwise be normal for your flies to always be as eye pleasing as they are.
