February Flies From the Vise

I'd be interested to know how they do on the water. How do the hooks work? Do they penetrate when you rip the bass? Can you push the hook back into the foam? They look like bass getters.

Winter Stonefly (Roos variation)

Playing around with a black caddis idea (hence the Goddard-like wing shape) and realized it’d make a passable winter stonefly.  May have to integrate an indicator of some kind since I won’t see this past 15’.

wing - Congo Hair charcoal
