Capt Bob LeMay 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2021 I long ago gave up on mono loops for patterns that have a tendency to foul when wet (long saddles, rabbit strip, maribou, etc.). Instead I much prefer a sparse amount of bucktail as an “under wing” tied in first to allow the tail to have something to lay on, preventing it from wrapping around the hook.
