Stippled Popper 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2016 Glad to see you posting painted poppers again. Nearly incomparable ... although Mike Jackson has learned a lot form you !!! We learn from each other's techniques and ideas. That is one of the nice things about fly tying. People are generally not shy about sharing knowledge. bellevue.chartreuse.trout 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2016 It is my opinion that everything that I have seen you post qualifies as art! I know, they'll fish just fine, but they look immaculate when you create/paint them Stippled! BCT

Stippled Popper 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2016 nice poppers ron i also have that trigger finger problem I put the surgery off far too long. The high pain threshold I inherited from my father probably contributed to the delay and senseless worry. The only symptom I experienced was numbness in the hands which kept me from holding a fly rod for longer than a minute without going numb. The surgery itself only takes a few minutes and can be done under a local. Of course one hand is done at a time because who else is going to wipe you. My incisions were made in the creases of my hand so the March and April surgeries are almost completely invisible. No surgery is ever successful 100% of the time. But it sure has worked for me. Flat Rock native 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2016 So cool. Not sure I would fish these if I had them. Would feel bad if lost or chewed up.

elderbarry 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2016 Great poppers! I agree with the others that I might not fish them if I had something that looked so good!
