  1. While shopping at Cabela's I found they had Umpqua select dozen flies on sale for about $7. One of the patterns was a size 14ride Sally ride fly. It looks as if it is simple enough to tie but not sure what materials they use. The hook itself appears to be a 3XL hook. Any info in a material list would be greatly appreciated. I plan to use these to fish for bluegills and crappie.
  2. David, Please do not get mad if nobody sends you anything. It seems there are some people taking advantage of the kind hearts of others as of late. What makes it worse is they say they are or where Soldiers. So, when your first post on here is asking for handouts, people start to think. Then you confuse us with what you say(if I will enlist I think I will do 40 years instead 12). Being a veteran myself, thanks for your service. As others have said, your best bet would be to ask family to send you a care package of tying material. Thanks Again for your service.
  3. Would love to see a step by step of your creek bass snacks.
  4. I like it. Just need to know what type of tube is that and where to get it.
  5. Did you make or buy your fly holder? If you bought it, would you care to say where?
  6. I recognized the screen name from one of the boards. Just could not place where or a name.
  7. Welcome from Greenwood, Indiana. Glad you joined the site.
  8. Can't wait to see the finished project.

  11. I would love to go to this and the Sowbug Roundup. Just do not have the funds to make the trip. I am hoping to be able to go in the next couple of years.
  12. Very nice. Where did you get those 4 round stacked containers from and what do you store in them?
  13. Thanks Scott. I thought that is what is was after some searching. Just have not found one yet. I guess I will have to go check the local baby superstore.
  14. They use Senyo's Shaggy dub not some sort of rubber hackle or long estaz swept back. My fly fishing club had the Wilsons' as guest speakers and Terry tied one of these up for me.
  15. I am wondering where you got that twister from?

    Forgot Password

Not sure if there is a problem with the forgot password email or not. I have been trying to get on for a week after forgetting my passwords and locking my account many times. I must have tried to get the forgot password email at least 10 times with no luck. I even tried to create a new account but did not get the validation email sent. After looking at my old profile I was able to remember my password. Just wanted to pass this info along to admins but there is not contact me links or buttons.
  18. Indiana DNR has all the info on where to fish. Your main ones are Trail Creek, Salt Creek, and Burns Harbor. Then you also got the St. Joe River and smaller tribs. As far as flies to use, I am not sure. Some that I would try are woolly buggers, egg sucking leeches, ice man minnow, eggs, nymphs, and maybe chernobyl ants. You can catch Steelhead in the creeks every month of the year. You should check out http://indianaangler.com/ lots og good info about when and where. Also have a fishery biologist that post good info along with numbers of fished passed in the ladder.
  19. That was some funny shit.
