Beetle killed pine gives the gray look, makes great t & g panels. Clear finish or wax, and billions of board feet are Free for the taking or cheap, if milled. FYI

Great picture Had Euro collared dove slam window, Wednesday, ironically I had been seeking to harvest 1 for soft hackles and experimental dinner. It was a very young, small one and I did not want to dispatch it. Watched it a bit, when I reached to pick it up, it flew to a low shrub, then into large Blue Spruce.. Birds win two rounds this week! Thanks for postingπ

Show us your Fran Betters Flies!
Flat Rock native replied to samsonboi's topic in The Fly Tying Bench
Still very good and one great thing about Franβs style- perfection not required, just needs to be tied to hold together during many Strikes! πππ£π£ππ -
Nebraska boy living in Wyoming is about as far away from Steelhead waters as you get in lower 48. These are going in a beetle killed pine frame, and, then placed in a prominent spot in the living room. Trophy bride of 42 years will permit my decorating, even she likes these-a lot. Wonβt even complain for not putting them in the art gallery for $ale, like some of my other βgoodβ stuff....

James Leisenring's personal fly tying material and signed book

pd, your approach may ultimately be the best course, gift or donate to a tying program... e.g. Joeyβs Flyfishing Foundation. But, we do not know enough yet to jump to this phase... What if the envelopes contain rare bird feathers for marrying in classic salmon patterns?
